Christmas and New Year opening times
With Christmas around the corner, please be aware of our surgery opening times over the festive period:
At all times primary medical services will be available to all patients, according to clinical need, over the Christmas and New Year period, however there are times when the practice will be shut. Whenever the practice is closed primary medical services are provided via DHU (Derbyshire Health United) who also provide the practices out-of-hours care on our behalf. Click here to access NHS 111 online or call 111 to speak to a staff member. They may either help you with self-care or direct you to a primary care centre.
Our Whaley Bridge surgery opening times over the period are:
- Wednesday 24 December (Christmas Eve) – 8am to 4.30pm
- Thursday 25 December (Christmas Day) – closed
- Friday 26 December (Boxing Day) – closed
- Wednesday 31 December (New Year’s Eve) – 8am to 4.30pm
- Thursday 1 January (New Year’s Day) – closed
- All other working days 8am to 6:30pm
Our Chapel-en-le-Frith branch surgery will have reduced opening hours over the period, so please phone the surgery on 01663 735112 to check before going to our branch surgery unless you have a booked appointment
The online request function on our website will also be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, to ensure the safety of all our patients while our surgeries are shut. Please remember that online requests should be for routine requests only, for anything requiring urgent or same day care please ring the practice during its opening times or contact 111 outside the practices opening times.
To make sure that A&E stays for emergencies only, consider which service you might need when seeking help for your health problem.
